Delete your data

You can permanently delete everything CapyCents holds about you, at any time, for free. This page explains how — it satisfies your GDPR right to erasure and the App Store / Play Store account-deletion requirements.

Delete your account and all data (in the app)

1. Open CapyCents.
2. Go to Settings.
3. Tap Delete my account.
4. Confirm.

Your data — every wallet, transaction, category, budget, and your display name — is irreversibly erased within seconds. This cannot be undone, and there is no recovery afterwards. Any linked bank authorisation is revoked as part of deletion.

Want a copy first? Use Settings → Export my data to download a CSV of everything before you delete.

Disconnect a bank (without deleting your account)

If you only want to stop bank syncing but keep your account:

1. Go to Settings → Connected banks.
2. Select the bank and tap Disconnect.

This deletes the read-only authorisation token immediately. You can also revoke CapyCents’s access directly from your own bank or banking app at any time. Authorisations expire automatically at least every 90 days regardless.

Stop email import

If you enabled BAC email import, go to Settings → Email import and turn it off. You can also revoke CapyCents’s Gmail access from your Google Account permissions.

Remove your waitlist email

If you joined the waitlist on this website and want your email removed before launch, email faustogengaalfaro@gmail.com from that address and we’ll delete it.

Can’t access the app?

If you’ve lost access to your device or account and need data deleted, email faustogengaalfaro@gmail.com. We may ask you to verify ownership, then erase the data and confirm within 30 days.
